Nordic Office of Architecture appoints former City Architect as partner.

Camilla van Deurs, former City Architect of Copenhagen, joins Nordic Office of Architecture (Nordic) as a partner. She will lead and develop the company's new area of expertise, strategic urban development. This way, Nordic enhances its strong professional profile and position in the market.

"I am pleased to accept the opportunity to join the architectural practice of Nordic, renowned for its forward-thinking approach towards shaping the healthy, sustainable cities of tomorrow. Nordic Office of Architecture excels in public processes and seamlessly integrates sustainability principles in their projects. As a result, my skills complement Nordic's profile seamlessly. Having dedicated five fulfilling years to the City of Copenhagen, I eagerly anticipate contributing to the development of impactful projects at Nordic," remarks Camilla van Deurs, formerly a partner at Gehl Architects and subsequently serving as the City Architect of Copenhagen.

Nordic Office of Architecture has a high level of expertise in a wide range of disciplines. From public projects within health, care, play and education to public and private housing, landscape architecture, workspace strategy and client consultancy. Strategic urban development is now added to this list of expertise.

Last year, Norconsult in Denmark merged Nordic Office of Architecture, Norconsult Arkitektur and Rubow Arkitekter into one architectural company – under the name Nordic Office of Architecture, which today has offices in Norway, Denmark and Iceland.
