Norconsult takes over KHS Arkitekter
As part of its efforts to meet increasing demand for holistic services, Norconsult’s takeover of KHS Arkitekter represents a consolidation of the group’s position, allowing architects and engineers to work closely together to provide a combined service.
“Norconsult’s objective is to expand its footprint in the Nordic region,” reports Egil Gossé, Norconsult’s EVP Nordic. “This acquisition strengthens our commitment in the Nordic region in terms of both our capacity and our market presence.”
Norconsult Denmark’s CEO, Thomas Bolding Rasmussen, adds: “With the acquisition of KHS Arkitekter, Norconsult has gained about 20 new employees. Together with KHS Arkitekter, we will be able to deliver an even stronger and greater breadth of holistic services. We are seeing a reinforcement of our shared expertise, particularly in the areas of client consultancy and general housing, both new builds and renovation, from overall plans to the development of new housing projects, and we are looking forward to continuing to develop together.”
The acquisition means that Norconsult now has around 220 consultants serving the construction sector in Denmark.
The two enterprises already have an excellent working relationship based on a number of joint projects.
“For us, it is a natural step in our continued development to become part of a larger enterprise,” says Jess Sørensen, CEO of KHS. “In the future we will be in a position to be able to supply broader and even better services for our customers, in an industry where the trend is turning against having a ‘single point of contact’.
“For our employees, being part of Norconsult will mean an even greater opportunity to work on major, exciting projects in a rapidly evolving workplace.
Jess Sørensen will continue as CEO of KHS, and the partner group will remain a central part of the enterprise.
