Norconsult acquires Danish consultancy KAAI – Kærsgaard & Andersen A/S
Norconsult is strengthening its position in Denmark through the acquisition of the Danish consultancy firm KAAI – Kærsgaard & Andersen A/S.
Norconsult believes the acquisition will reinforce its competence in the social housing and public construction sectors in Denmark. With growing demand for property renovation and energy-saving home improvements, the acquisition will also provide Norconsult with extensive additional experience, which will help consolidate the company’s position in the area.
“The acquisition of KAAI will strengthen Norconsult’s position as a major multidisciplinary consultancy firm in Denmark. With KAAI’s skilled team on board, we are looking forward to offering our clients in the Danish market an even wider range of services and good geographic proximity,” explains Norconsult’s EVP Nordic, Egil Gossé.
Norconsult now has 200 consultants in Denmark
KAAI has a broad multidisciplinary structure, with around 50 people working at offices in Aalborg and Aarhus. Following the acquisition, Norconsult now has around 200 consultants serving the construction and industrial sectors in Denmark.
“Norconsult is currently working on projects for both private and public-sector clients, and we are keen to sharpen our focus on the social housing sector. As a result of the KAAI acquisition, Norconsult will acquire around 50 new employees comprising client consultants, site managers, engineers, designers and architects with the very experience we are looking for in social housing. Like Norconsult, the business has a flat structure and attaches importance to high levels of professionalism, independence and a positive working environment. That’s why I see KAAI as the perfect match for both businesses,” explains Thomas Bolding Rasmussen, Managing Director of Norconsult in Denmark.
Contribution to our clients’ development
Based on the companies’ shared business concept, CEO and Partner at KAAI Jens Kærsgaard believes that joining the Norconsult Group will bring major development opportunities.
“For us, integrating into an organisation that we feel is a perfect fit, is the natural next step in our development. We will be able to deliver more and even better services to our clients in future and thus contribute to our clients’ development.
“As members of the Norconsult Group, our employees will have the opportunity to work with new colleagues in a rapidly developing and exciting workplace, and our existing five partners, who will all continue in their positions, are also greatly looking forward to the opportunity,” concludes Kærsgaard.
KAAI will continue to operate from its existing offices in Aalborg and Aarhus under the name Norconsult – KAAI.
