CEO of Norconsult to stand down at the end of 2020
CEO of Norconsult, Per Kristian Jacobsen (62) has informed the board of directors that he wishes to stand down as CEO at the end of 2020.
There’s a right time for everything. Norconsult has been a central part of my life for 15 years. By the end of 2020, I will have been CEO for close to seven years, in addition to my eight years as chairman of the board. Norconsult are currently in the middle of the strategy period 2019-2021, and in 2021, when the time comes to develop the strategy for the next period, it would be an advantage for a new CEO to lead this work, Jacobsen says.
Chairman of the board, Roar Engeland, is very pleased with how the company has developed under Per Kristian Jacobsen’s leadership.
Under Per Kristian, Norconsult has delivered record results and shown a unique ability to deliver outstanding engineering and architectural work, develop advanced technology and modern forms of collaboration, and deliver highly demanding projects. The company is well equipped for a change in leadership, in no small part thanks to Per Kristian, Engeland says.
The board of directors will begin the process of finding a new CEO in the new year and are aiming to find a replacement before the start of 2021. Jacobsen will continue in his current role until the end of 2020 and remain available to the board and the new CEO until July 2021.
