We have extensive experience in this field both from Norway and internationally, with many notable projects in particular in South East Asia.

For design and dimensioning of transmission lines, we use the modeling and calculation tool PLS-CADD. This is an advanced software which enables us to design all types of masts in different types of construction materials adopted to your particular project (steel, wood, aluminum or composites).
Norconsult often plans and designs power lines based on LIDAR data. This gives flexibility when optimizing the design and often leads to lower capex than traditional surveying methods. We do however design lines based on land survey data as well.
