Storage caverns and tanks
Norconsult's high competence within rock engineering, hydrogeology and underground facilities have resulted in a number of unlined product storage caverns being constructed in Norway and abroad.
Underground storage of oil and gas products are environmental friendly, safe and economical favourable for large volumes and for gas with medium cool-down temperature.
For above ground storage tanks for storage of LNG (- 162 °C), Norconsult provides both structural and process design.
