Solid growth and stable profitability

The second quarter was strongly affected by three working days less compared to the same period last year due to Easter being in April this year. The negative effect on net revenue and EBITA amounted to NOK 141 million.

Adjusted EBITA for the quarter ended at NOK 152 million with a corresponding EBITA margin of 6.2 percent.  Adjusted for calendar effects, the EBITA margin increased to 11.2 percent, up from 11.0 percent in the corresponding period last year.

Solid and stable

“In the quarter, we experienced solid revenue growth and stable profitability, mainly driven by an increase in employees and higher billing rates. The EBITA margin adjusted for the calendar effect, ended at 11.2 percent compared to 11.0 percent in the same period in 2024,” says Egil Hogna, CEO of Norconsult.

A major milestone in the quarter was the announcement of the acquisition of the Aas-Jakobsen Group, which was completed on 6 August.

“We are very pleased to welcome 230 skilled advisors with leading expertise in, among other things, complex infrastructure and construction projects. Norconsult and Aas-Jakobsen have collaborated well for many years, and this acquisition fits perfectly into our strategy to strengthen our number one position in the Norwegian market” says Egil Hogna, CEO of Norconsult.
