Norconsult awarded the DNB Carnegie Sustainability Award 2025

Norconsult has been named the winner in the “Best Newcomer” category of the prestigious DNB Carnegie Sustainability Award 2025. The award recognises companies that integrate sustainability into their business strategies in ways that create long-term value for both shareholders and society at large.

The DNB Carnegie Sustainability Award has been presented annually since 2019 and honours Nordic listed companies that demonstrate outstanding achievements in sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). The aim of the award is to highlight best practices that inspire both businesses and investors to prioritise sustainability in their own operations.

In its reasoning for selecting Norconsult, the jury stated:

“The company has a holistic approach to sustainability advisory services, integrating ESG at every stage of the process. This makes ESG a competitive advantage in both public tenders and private development projects.”

“At Norconsult, our ambition is to integrate ESG from day one. Our greatest impact comes through the solutions we design for our clients — shaping sustainable, innovative projects that create long-term value. Sustainability isn’t an add-on. It’s how we think — and how we shape the future,” says CEO Egil Hogna.

“Our consultants make sure the social dimension is strong. Inclusive planning, community value and safe environments guide how we shape the places where people live, work and thrive,” says Elisabeth Hofgaard Lycke, Director of Sustainability and Improvement at Norconsult.

Winners in the three categories are selected from among 420 listed companies, representing approximately 95% of the stock market value in the Nordics. Norconsult, which was listed on the stock exchange in November 2023, has been awarded the prize for Best Newcomer. The other winners are Atlas Copco in the Large Cap category and Marimekko in the Small Cap category.

Jury statement for awarding Norconsult:

Norconsult delivers qualified technical consulting services throughout the client’s project chain, from feasibility studies, analyses and strategic planning to engineering, design and project management. The company has a holistic approach to its sustainability advisory, including it in every step in the process, making ESG a differentiator in public tenders and private development mandates. Norconsult benefits directly from regulatory and market-driven demand for sustainable infrastructure, positioning ESG as a revenue driver across the buildings, transport and energy segments. With revenue also tied to the green transition, it is embedded in early-stage project design where environmental footprint decisions are made – supporting pricing power and project influence. Norconsult’s integrated digital tools and energy optimisation expertise provide a competitive edge in EU Taxonomy-aligned procurement.
