Norconsult strengthens its position in energy and transmission

Norconsult and ARA Engineering are teaming up to reinforce their position in the energy and transmission market. The move comes on the back of a strong, long-term working relationship.

ARA Engineering supplies services in the field of high voltage technology, comprising power cables, cable installations and transformer stations. The company currently employs around 25 people, and its head office is in Kopavogur on Iceland. ARA Engineering also has wholly owned subsidiaries in Oslo, Norway, and in Chrzanow, Poland. With the acquisition of ARA Engineering, Norconsult is now also represented on Iceland and in Poland.

An integrated part of Norconsult as from 1 July

Norconsult is Norway's largest multidisciplinary consultancy firm in the fields of community planning, project engineering and architecture. The company employs around 3,250 people working at 91 offices in Norway and abroad. All employees of ARA Engineering will continue in their positions after 1 July, when the company proceeds with operations as an integrated part of the Norconsult organisation.
