As part of the strategy for reaching its ambitious climate targets, The Research Council of Norway has distributed 300 million to 49 research projects focused on environmentally friendly energy. In this connection, Norconsult has received support to the project "50% reduction in energy consumption from the future hospitals".
Norconsult's project is one of seven major programs receiving funds to develop further knowledge about environmentally friendly energy.
In addition to Norconsult, this is a collaborative project with participants from:
- South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority
- Narud Stokke Wiig Architects and Planners
- Siemens Healthcare
- GK Norway
- SAAS project
- SINTEF
- Oslo University College
- NoIS
The cost frame is NOK 24 million, of which 50% is supported by the Norwegian Research Council. The remaining 50% is covered by the project partners. Tidsramme er på fire år og inkluderer flere masteroppgaver og /eller PhD. The projects is scheduled to last for four years and includes several Master's theses and / or PhD's.
The project includes the following sub-projects:
- Sub-project 1 (SP1) to clarify the national and international status (state of the art) distributed at various subpartprojects.
- SP 2 combines the findings of SP 1 and systematizes how the findings can be put into the models that initiates change.
- SP 3 will then show how these models and concepts can be adapted to the various tasks that must be resolved when the hospital is planned and managed.
- SP 4 runs parallel with the other three sub-projects and ensures that the findings will be published and discussed.
